Just How Good Is The Good News?

Most all Christians already know that the word "gospel" means Good News but my question is, just how good is that good news?

For hundreds of years men lived under the law of Moses looking forward to the time when a Messiah would come and rescue them from whatever human conditions they were facing during their particular life time.  They understood that once the Messiah came, things would suddenly become a lot different than what they were experiencing!

Now its good for us to understand that not everyone in the world who lived during that time were born under the law of Moses!  The law of Moses was only given to the children of Israel!  So that brings up the question, who were the children of Israel?

The children of Israel were the descendants of Abraham's grandson, Jacob!  Jacob's name was changed to Israel after an incident happened that we find recorded in the Old Testament!  Prior to that incident, God had already made a promise to Abraham that all nations would be blessed because of His seed!

The Apostle Paul explains to us in the New Testament that God was talking about a singular seed, not seeds (plural).  I'm not sure that people who lived in Old Testament times knew that even if they knew that God had made a promise to Abraham that was already made unconditional by the time Jacob came on the scene!  However, everyone apparently knew that the promise to Abraham was passed down to his son, Isaac, and grandson Jacob, and on to all their descendants who became known as the children of Israel or house of Israel!

Anyway, we know now that the singular seed that was spoken of was none other than Jesus Christ, the Messiah!

As I began to say, for many hundreds of years those who lived under the law of Moses looked forward to the time when the Messiah would come and make everything better!  But when the Messiah came, even though they were looking forward to His coming, they didn't recognize Him for who He was!  Because of that, we read in John 1:11 that He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him!  Was that good news?  Its only good news when we understand that it all happened according to God's plan that He had in place from the very beginning!  So let's get on with the story!

The real good news is that the Messiah did finally come and His coming changed everything!  Today we even count time from the event of His coming!

The Apostle Paul tells us in Galatians 4:4, 5 that, "when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons." (NKJV)

There at the end, Paul uses the pronoun "we" because he being of the house of Israel was also born under the law and in need of being redeemed!

You see, it really didn't make any difference whether a person was born under the law or not as far as the need to be redeemed was concerned.  Those who were of the house of Israel needed to be redeemed and Gentiles who were not members of the house of Israel needed to be redeemed!  The word redeem simply means to pay a ransom!  Here's an example:  If a child is  kidnapped, a ransom may be required in order for his or her rightful parents to have the child back.

All of us who are humans have been held hostage by sin ever since our first parents, Adam and Eve, initiated sin into the world in the garden of Eden so whether or not we are of the house of Israel or a Gentile who had no knowledge of the law we are all in need of being rescued from sin which is what we mean by being redeemed.  The only redeemer any of us have is Jesus Christ, the true Messiah.

Now back to how good the good news is!

Not only did those who lived under the law look forward to the time when the Messiah would come, they also looked forward to a particular time they called the year of jubilee!  It was part of the law that they were to let their land rest every seventh year and seven times seven is forty-nine so the seventh of the seven sabbatical year was the forty-ninth year from the time that they came into the land to possess it.  But even though they took possession of the land, the land was not theirs to do with as they pleased because God told them in Leviticus 25:23 that, "The land shall not be sold permanently, for the land is Mine; for you are strangers and sojourners with Me."

And so it was that at the end of forty-nine sabbatical years that they were to declare a year of jubilee on the fiftieth year!  But where do we find any record of there ever being a year of jubilee?

Please open your Bible with me, if you will, to the fourth chapter of Luke and see what Jesus the Messiah has to say!

Luke 4:16
"So He came to Nazareth where He had been brought up.  And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.
17  "And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah.  And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written:

18 "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives
To set at liberty those who are oppressed;

19  "To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord."

20  "Then He closed the book, and gave it to the attendant and sat down.  And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him.
21  "And He began to say to them, 'Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.'"

So just how good is the good news?

I admit that this is only part of the good news, there is truly much, much more but this proclamation of the acceptable year of the Lord can only be fully realized when you turn in your own Bible and read the verses that Dr. Luke apparently only quoted a small part of.

My reference Bible references Isaiah 49:8, 9; 61:1, 2

If you are anything like me, you will be greatly encouraged to read those passages and know that here are some of the things Jesus has already accomplished for us!  Talk about good news---wow!

Have You Ever...?

Have you ever stayed up later than you should and then found yourself unable to go to sleep when you did go to bed?

That's what happened to me last night, so I decided to do something I hadn't done for quite sometime!  I decided to pick up the New Testament that is on my night stand and just start reading as if I had never seen a Bible before in my entire life!

Have you ever tried doing something like that?  If not, you're in for a treat!

Just pretend that you have spent your entire life on a desert island somewhere and had just recently learned how to read for yourself when someone hands you a copy of the book of Luke (for example).

I mention the book of Luke because that's where I opened my New Testament to last night as I began to read from the very first verse of the very first chapter!

By the time I got to the end of the first chapter, I had read enough to make me stop and think about things I had not thought about before in quite the same way!

Here was an old man, it doesn't say how old, just that he was old and had served in the temple for a long time!  His name is Zacharias.  And while he was doing what he was there to do, an angel came and talked to him face to face!

Have you ever talked face to face with an angel?  Are you sure?

You may answer:  "No, and I've never burned incense on an altar either!"

To which, I'd have to agree that neither have I and, to my knowledge, I've never talked to an angel face to face!

However, what I read does give us a strong indication that angels do exist, and if God chose to do so, he could send an angel to talk to me even though it would probably frighten the living day lights right out of me!

Anyway, I did go to sleep with some fresh thoughts on my mind after I had read just that one first chapter.  With some of those thoughts on my mind when I awoke this morning I decided to do some extra study about what I read last night.

Here are some things that I learned:

In Colossians 4:14 I found that Paul spoke of Luke as the "beloved Physician" and since Paul included Luke in his salutation of that letter, we can safely assume that Luke was one of the Apostle Paul's traveling companions, and may have even been his personal physician!

In verse 11 of that same chapter, Paul spoke of some other men who were with him and said they were the only fellow workers for the kingdom of God who are of the circumcision.  Now we know that what that means is that they were fellow Jews or Israelites because they were the ones who were considered to be "of the circumcision"!

Since we know from verse 14 that Luke was with Paul and that he was not listed among these other men, it is safe to assume that Dr. Luke must have been a Gentile!

Here are the first four verses of Luke chapter 1 and that's about all I'm going to have time to write about today:

<<>>..<<>>..<<>>..<<>>..<<>>..<<>>..<<>>
>>..<<>>..<<>>..<<>>..<<>>..<<>>..<<>>..<<

Luke 1:1-4
"Inasmuch as many have taken in hand to set in order a narrative of those things which have been fulfilled among us,
2  just as those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word delivered them to us,
3  it seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write to you an orderly account, most excellent Theophilus,
4  that you may know the certainty of those things in which you were instructed." (NKJV)

<<>>..<<>>..<<>>..<<>>..<<>>..<<>>..<<>>
>>..<<>>..<<>>..<<>>..<<>>..<<>>..<<>>..<<

We see that Luke wrote his account specifically for the "most excellent Theophilus"!

Theophilus is thought to be a recent convert to Christianity who was probably wealthy and well known.  While Luke addressed him specifically he, without doubt, had a much larger audience in mind.

According to those four verses I quoted above, Luke's purpose was to record in an orderly fashion what he had learned from the very beginning so that the Christian faith could be well established on a rock solid foundation, not only for Theophilus, but for anyone who is willing to read his account.

It is well established, among Bible students, that the book of Luke is the first of a two part work by Dr. Luke.  The second part, of course, is the book of Acts.

Dr. Luke acknowledged in verse one that there had been other eye witnesses before him who had undertaken to draw up an account.  He spoke of them as "ministers of the word" so its possible they were preachers or teachers of his day.

Those who have made a careful comparison feel that Dr. Luke got much of his material from the book do Mark while faithfully recording his own account.

We learn from verse two that Dr. Luke got at least some of his material from eye witnesses who were still alive at the time that he wrote!  Those eye witnesses would have had direct personal knowledge of Jesus and the development of His church from its very beginning!

Today's Devotion:

If anyone says,"I Love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar.  1 John 4:20 NIV

There once lived a young girl whose perfect grace of character was the wonder of those who knew her.  She wore on her neck a gold locket that no one was allowed to open.  One day in a
moment of unusual confidence, one of her companions was allowed to touch its spring and learn its secret.  She saw written these words:  "Whom having not seen, I love."  That was the secret of her beautiful life.

You all know what it is to be hungry for love.  Your heart seems unsatisfied until you can draw something more toward you.  There have been time when I had and unspeakable heart-hunger for Christ's love.  My sense is never strong when I think of the law; my sense of sin is strong when I think of love.  It is when drawing near to the Lord Jesus Christ and longing to be loved that I have the most vivid sense of unsymmetry, of imperfection, of absolute unworthiness, and of my sinfulness.  Character and conduct are never so vividly set before me as when in silence I bend in the presence of Christ, revealed not in wrath but in love to me.  I never so much long to be lovely, that I may be loved, as when I have this revelation of Christ before my mind.

Ed Freeman

The following was forwarded to me as well as many others and I decided to put it here on my blog rather than forwarding it on!  I would like to see things like this get as much exposure as possible!

When you find this on my blog, if you feel like forwarding on to your friends, please do so!

In my opinion, to much of our media today is completely unaware of what is important to give coverage to and what isn't!

 You're a 19 year old kid.
You're critically wounded and dying in the jungle in the Ia Drang Valley.

November 11, 1965.

LZ X-ray , Vietnam .

Your infantry unit is outnumbered 8-1 and the enemy fire is so intense, from 100 or 200 yards away,
that your own Infantry Commander has ordered the MediVac helicopters to stop coming in.

You're lying there, listening to the enemy machine guns and you know you're not getting out.

Your family is 1/2 way around the world, 12,000 miles away, and you'll never see them again.

As the world starts to fade in and out, you know this is the day.

Then - over the machine gun noise - you faintly hear that sound of a helicopter.

You look up to see an unarmed Huey. But ... it doesn't seem real because no Medi-Vac markings are on it.

Ed Freeman is coming for you.

He's not Medi-Vac so it's not his job, but he's flying his Huey down into the machine gun fire anyway.

Even after the Medi-Vacs were ordered not to come.

He's coming anyway.

And he drops it in and sits there in the machine gun fire, as they load 2 or 3 of you on board.

Then he flies you up and out through the gunfire to the doctors and nurses.

And, he kept coming back!! 13 more times!!

He took about 30 of you and your buddies out who would never have gotten out.

Today's Devotion:

And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and
if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
I Corinthians 13:2 NRSV

Love is the highest gift of God.  All visions or revelations are little things compared to love.
Beware of judging people to be either right or wrong by your own feelings.  Beware of thinking, "Because I am filled with love, I need not have so much holiness.  Because I pray always, therefore I need no set time for private prayer.  Because I watch always, therefore I need no particular self-examination."  Let this be our voice:  "I prize your commandments above gold or precious stones.  What love have I unto your law!"
I appeal to you:  Beware of bigotry.  Beware of self-indulgence, yes, and making a virtue of it.

What Is Your Why?

Many leading online marketers have written about "What Is Your Why?"

In other words, what is your reason for wanting to have a successful online business?  Is your reason big enough to sustain you through think and thin, failures, and set backs?

This blog is written, as I see it, to answer their question as to what my why is!

First of all, the "why" each one of us must have is something that we are passionate enough about to sustain us and cause us to continue on in the face of whatever present adversity we might be facing!

A good "why" for many of us in America today could be a reason to make God continue to bless us as a nation!  That would certainly be a good why!  We are living in a time when many may be asking if God has now turned His back on us even as many of our political leaders, as well as many others, have turned their backs on Him!  So to set out to turn the trend around so God will bless us again even as He has, without question, blessed us in the past would certainly be a good why for anyone who is passionate enough about it!

While I, as many of you, have a strong desire to see that happen, it only borders on what I am most passionate about!

You see, America is a great country and richly blessed, but we must face the facts that she is not the only country or group of people that God has created and is concerned about!

Many people of this nation have let God know, in no uncertain terms, by their actions or lack thereof (which do speak louder than words) that they want nothing to do with Him or what He stands for when it comes to the way they conduct themselves in their day to day way of living!

So what is my why?  What is it I am even more passionate about than that?

My why is to be able to support several of the non-profit organizations which are doing a great job exposing the truth of God as well as some other non-profit and for-profit organizations who are less than honest when it comes to expressing God's truth in love!

Sadly it is true what Jesus said about false prophets coming in His name, claiming Him to be the Christ, and deceiving many!

The gospel that we Christians believe is good news!  The perverted gospel, however, is bad news!  And it deserves to be exposed for what it is!  But how can those organizations who are doing a good job with that continue on without support?

Joyfully, in a way, we don't have to worry about that because as long as they are doing a good job they will get the support they need because just as God Himself has blessed our great nation in the past, when we actually looked to Him for support, He does support and will continue to support those who work on His behalf!

That brings me to my why!  Those I wish to support will be supported whether or not I am successful in making much difference in the work I do on their behalf!  But my why is to be a part of what they are doing!

What little I can donate out of my retirement funds are very insignificant, in fact, it doesn't even allow me the luxury of being a part of all the organizations that I would like to help, that's why I work online!

Our Devotion For Today:
For the Lord is righteous, He loves justice; upright men will see His face.  Psalm 11:7 NIV

It is a privilege to do the commandments.  And my soul trembles at the fearfulness of will, love comes with its calm power.  Where Gods law is, is God's love.  Look at law---it withers your very soul with its stern, inexorable face.  But look at love or look at God's will, which means look at love's will, and you are reassured, and your heart grows strong.  God's will, then, is as great as God, as high as heaven---yet as easy as love.  For love knows no hardness and feels no yoke.
Give me love, pure, burning love and loyalty to Him, and I shall climb from law to law through grace and glory to the place beside the throne where the angels do His will.  There are two ways, therefore, of looking at God's will---one looking at the love side of it, the other at the law; the one ending in triumph, the other in despair; the one a liberty, the other a slavery.

As Many Ways As Carter Had Little Liver Pills!

How long has it been since you heard that expression?

I'm talking about "As many as Carter had little liver pills!"

In days gone by, when televisions were rare and even unheard of in many circles, one of the most popular radio commercials was about Carter's little liver pills!

The commercial came on so often there got to be a standard joke about how many little liver pills Carter must have!

That's what prompted my title for this blog!

There are about as many different Internet businesses, or ways to earn an income online, as Carter had little liver pills!  And there must be about that many people doing it.

There's a new Ebook I have just come across which I predict will become very popular.

It presents a strategy for selling any type of product using methods which will never become obsolete. Plus an ingenious twist which will send your traffic rocketing.

The Ultimate SuperTip, written by Harvey Segal (Mr. SuperTips) is neatly set out, easy to follow, written without hype and not littered with annoying links.

And the cost of this book ?

It's free !

And it ends with an amazing idea for making you money from the book itself.

I'd rush to get this book now if I were you!

Today's Devotion:
 Love In Three Words
Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 1 John 4:8 NIV
"God is love" is the greatest sentence ever written.  It sums up the whole content of the Bible.  If I were asked for a sentence to print in letters of gold on the outside of our Bible, a sentence that summed up the whole contents of the book, it would be this one: "God is love."  It is the subject of the first chapter of Genesis, it is the subject of the last chapter of Revelation, and it is the subject of every chapter that lies in between.
The Bible is simply God's love story, the story of the love of a holy God in a sinful world.  There is mighty power in that one short sentence, power to break the hardest heart, power to reach individual men and women who are sunk down in sin and to lift them up until they are fit for a place beside the Lord Jesus Christ upon the throne.

OBA Blog

Today, it is my pleasure to write about the OBA Blog!  It was produced by my friend Nat Hawthorne, and so many nice things can be said about her that I'm not even going to go there right now!

She doesn't need my affirmation anyway, you can find out for yourself when you visit her blog!

Just suffice it to say that she has connected her blog (which is the OBA Blog) to mine and it is with great pleasure that I am now connecting my blog to her's!

Look at her blog here!

To come back here from her blog, just scroll down a bit where you will find my picture below Blogs By Other OBA Business Owners!  Clicking on my photo will bring you back here to JVz As I See It!

Now its obvious that as an OBA business owner I'm qualified to have this blog connected, so let me just add that I'm a very happy OBA business owner for several reasons!

Recently OBA joined forces with Traffic Exchange Profits (TEP) so now we are TEP/OBA business owners.

Connected to TEP/OBA is the Online Business Community (OBC) forum where all us business owners can come together as one large family and discuss what is working and what isn't or how we can tweek certain things to make them work even better!

That's just one of the many things that makes being a part of the Online Business Alliance such a pleasure!

I joined TEP/OBA last January (2009) and just as my first customer joined I had an emergency and had to be hospitalized.  From my hospital bed I gave my wife instructions on how to log into the OBC forum and contact another business owner to let her know what had happened!

Would you believe that my business didn't suffer?  In fact the business owner my wife contacted, being more experienced than myself, was able to walk my new customer through his set up even better than I could have!  Helping each other to succeed is just what we do, even when there is "nothing in it for me"!

There is even a "Need Help" section in the forum where anyone having difficulty with just about anything can let it be known and get help right away!

Indeed we are just like one large family with more joining us all the time!

Anyone wanting to join our family of business owners can click here to bring up a place to sign up and go from there!

Now, back the the OBA Blog, in the future when this blog post is just another post among others, all you will need to do to access the OBA Blog from here is to click on the title of this post and the OBA Blog will come right up!

Have a great day!

Residual Income!

In the Internet Marketing world, I see "Residual Income" mentioned quite frequently!  Exactly what does that word "residual" mean anyway?

Well, you don't have to take my word or that of anyone else now!  I looked up the word in my trusty old American Heritage Dictionary and found that the sentence used to describe the word was, "A payment made to a performer for each repeat showing of a recorded television show!"

There is no doubt about it, in today's economy we can all use a nice large dose of residual income!  But the big question is, where to find it?

There are more and more people looking for home based businesses to join and all too often they find themselves spending more than they receive, ...or I should say, "We find ourselves spending more than we receive" trying to generate an income at home by using our computers online!

Some have become very successful by doing just that!

Here where I live, the summer is over and the weather is cooler now than it has been!  Children are back in school and a lot of people are turning to the Internet once again for either full time or part time income!

If you happen to be one of those, I have something I'd like to show you today for your serious consideration!

Just Click Here and watch this complete presentation!

Was The Apostle John Jesus' Nephew?

Recently I downloaded a newer edition of the SwordSearcher software into my computer.  As I was reading the Barnes Commentary, that's provided with the software, about the Apostle John, he quoted an "ancient father" by the name of  Theophylact as saying, Joseph had seven children by a former wife, four sons and three daughters, Martha, Esther, and Salome, whose son John was; therefore Salome was reckoned our Lord's sister, and John was his nephew."

I thought that was interesting, didn't you?

I didn't know that Joseph had another wife before he married the mother of Jesus, did you?

Ok, so I've already admitted that I'm not well educated so I don't know a lot of history so I just assumed that Mary was the only one that Joseph had ever been married to.  But that brings up something else!  We know that Mary was a virgin so any children that Joseph had by a former wife would not have actually been a relative to Jesus, but, of course, we can see how that she may have been reckoned to have been a sister since she would have called Joseph her Daddy and he was married to Jesus' mother!  Today we would call her his step-sister.

I found this to be interesting, whether it is true or not I haven't proved to my own satisfaction yet,  nor have I decided if it is something I want to spend my time trying to prove!

Mr. Barnes didn't use a lot of ink on the subject, it was just something in his commentary that he mentioned in passing!

The main reason I don't see the need to spend my time searching to find absolute proof is because of what Jesus said in Matthew!

Mt 12:46 ¶ "While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.
47 "Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.
48 "But he answered and said unto him that told him, 'Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?
49 "And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, 'Behold my mother and my brethren!
50 'For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.'" (The King James Version)

Since Christ is no respecter of persons, God considers all of us as His children even as Christ has always loved all His disciples down through the ages!

The gospel of Jesus Christ is indeed good news!

Having said all that, I wouldn't condemn anyone who wanted to spend their time proving whether or not the Apostle John was Jesus' nephew!  I just feel that I have better use of my own time!

I welcome your comments!

As I See It

Anyone visiting my blog for the first time may think, by just reading the title "As I See It", that my perception of myself is such that the way I see things is the way others should see them as well!

If that's what you think, let me lay that thought to rest right now!

The reason I titled my blog "As I See It" was to give myself a lot of room for a lot of different subjects!  Some I know more about than others and perhaps some that I know very little about!

The famous Ben Franklin once said, "Genius without education is like silver in the mine."

Even if I considered myself to be a genius (which I don't), I would have to admit to being an uneducated genius which would relegate me to silver that is yet to be mined!

When we think about silver that has not been mined, how much value does it have compared to silver coins that have already been to the mint?  Not much, right?

Now I hope you can understand more about how I feel about "As I See It!"

I'm hoping to use this blog to attract the minds of men and women who have much more education than I do!  In so doing, their comments should well exceed the value of what I have posted for them to comment on!

Since you can see, from things that I have posted on my blog already, that I am interested in Biblical truth I hope to attract people who are well educated in theology!

You can see also, from the things I have already posted, that I am interested in Internet Marketing!  So I also hope to attract those to my blog who are more successful in the business than I am!

I would also hope that my blog will benefit anyone who comes along wanting a better knowledge of any subject that is brought to attention here!  If what I post personally does not benefit you perhaps a comment made by someone else will, and who knows, a comment by someone could bring up a subject that I would never think to write about!

I welcome your comments,
J.V.

Internet Marketing ~ Is The Price Right For You?

I have learned that those who are really successful in the business of Internet Marketing have built themselves a list of prospects that are responsive to what they have to offer.

Their product doesn't really matter!  They have learned to market themselves because people will only do business online with those whom they have come to know and trust as someone who supplies them with a need they have.

Even if you are just beginning, you may have already found out that trying to market to your friends and family members is, for the most part, futile!  Even if some of them do business with you, your prospect list gets short in a hurry!

The prospects that successful marketers want to target are people who are already marketing on the Internet  because they are obviously already interested!

People who are not marketing on the Internet aren't interested and it would be a hard sell to make them interested!

Those who are already marketing on the Internet are a hard target to penetrate because they are usually more interested in getting you interested in what they are marketing than they are in what you have to offer!

I think that pretty well sums up the reason why most Internet Marketers who have been in the business for any length of time know that only about 5% of the people who attempt to market on the Internet actually achieve success!

However, that is not a reason to become discouraged!  If there are 100 thousand people who attempt to be Internet Marketers (and there are probably more than that) and 5% are successful, that means that 5 thousand Internet Marketers are successful in the business!

Of course each of us need to determine in our own minds what success is!

I would personally consider myself a success if the amount I'm earning is enough above what I am spending that I can see enough profit from my efforts to consider what I am doing to be worth continuing to do!

By that definition, I must admit that I'm still among the 95% but I am seeing light at the end of the tunnel!

That brings me to this question:

What am I doing to get out of this tunnel and out into the light where I can declare myself to be a highly successful Internet Marketer so that my income will far exceed my expenses?

The answer:

I am targeting other Internet Marketers and providing them with what they need more than anything else in order to be successful!

What they need is the same thing as what I need, a list of responsive people who are interested in what they have to offer!

An addition to my list of responsive people will be coming from right here, where my responsive people will be getting the leads that will build a nice addition to their list of responsive people!

I know, as well as many other successful marketers do, that the more people I can help to be successful the more successful I will be!

The Major Problem With TEP/OBA!

As I see it, the major problem with TEP/OBA is with our personal way of thinking!

We humans have a problem with placing value on things we get for free or only have to pay a small price for!

Because the price for the Traffic Exchange Profits report is free, we tend to think of the word "free" as being the same as "worthless"!

Nothing could be farther from the truth!

Many people have the same problem with the proper understanding of the word "free" when it comes to the salvation that we now have in our Savior, Jesus Christ!

Even many Christians will tell you, "Yes, salvation is free!  But..."

After the insertion of the word "but" they go on to give you a long list of things you have to do in order to qualify yourself for the free salvation!

Now before I drop this subject that I brought up and get back to talking about TEP/OBA let me make sure you understand that I'm not down on Christians!  In fact, I profess to be a Christian myself!

Having said that, let me explain that one of the weaknesses of us Christians is not knowing the proper interpretation of what the Bible says about some things so that we are able to properly apply it to our daily way of living!

As I see it, that is what has happened to those of us who think the word "but" belongs after the phrase, "Salvation is free!"

In the book of Ephesians the apostle Paul tells us in chapter one and verse six that in Jesus we have already been accepted!

As I see it, Jesus has already qualified us for salvation without any help on our part!

The phrase "God helps those who help themselves!" is not found anywhere in the pages of the Bible!  Its a very popular phrase, but its origin is somewhere else!

God sent His Son Jesus Christ to help those of us who cannot help ourselves!  Only He could do what He did and only He is worthy of our worship and praise!

Now back to TEP/OBA just as it takes effort on our part to read and understand what the Bible teaches, it also takes effort to read the free report and learn the difference in the mind set of a business person and a consumer.

If we consider TEP/OBA to be worthless because of the free aspects, we will never find out that the income potential is absolutely unlimited!

If all we can see is the 100% commission on the sale of a $5. ebook we will never see the 100% commission of $20. + $30. + $50. over and over again for the work we have done only once!

The bottom line is that the problem with TEP/OBA lies in the way we think about it, not in the system itself.

Surf, Surf, Surf, For Fun and For Profit

As I see it surfing is a lot more fun when it is profitable!
Oh, wait a minute!  Let me explain!  I'm not talking about the kind of surfing you do when you grab your surf board, tuck it under your arm and head out for the highest ocean waves you can find!

The kind of surfing I'm talking about here is the kind that even stay at home moms, grandmothers, and anyone else does who is doing their advertising on line and using the traffic exchanges (TEs) to get their websites exposed to the public!

To these surfers, the kind of weather conditions they have outside doesn't really matter much!

They are busy sitting in front of there computers at home, surfing the traffic exchanges to earn enough credits to get their websites exposed to the public!

They are fully aware of the critics who say that TEs (sometimes called surf exchanges) don't work anymore!  The critics usually agree that the original concept was great---it was a trade off!  You look at so many other peoples website and in return you get so many others to look at yours!  But some critics say that they don't work any more because everyone who logs into the TE is only coming there to earn credits for themselves, and not to look at other people's websites!

But I'm here to tell you that there are new TEs springing up all the time and if they were not working, that would not be the case!

I'm also here to tell you that there is a way to use the TEs that is profitable (and that makes it a lot more fun) and there is a way to just waste your time with them---and that's not fun!  Its no fun to spend hours surfing for credits so you can just spend all of your credits for no results!

My friend, Scott Douglas, has put Traffic Exchange Profits together so that now everyone who follows his advice can learn to use the TEs profitably and their surfing becomes real fun again!

Come be my guest and lets start having fun as we surf together with Traffic Exchange Profits!

The Book of Revelation

As I see it, the book of Revelation has been misunderstood by many due to the assumption that it was written for our day instead of those to whom it was originally addressed!

It seems that many people have ignored the very first verse which says,

"The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants---things which must shortly take place." (NKJV)

My question is, if these were things that were to take place shortly at the time this book was first recorded, why aren't we looking at historical facts to see that they did take place instead of looking for signs of their fulfillment in our day or even future generations?
